Good video. That diamond back is beautiful. Believe it not, mice and or rats can hurt and even kill a rattlesnake buy biting it. In the wild a rattlesnake will strike, inject venom, then back away to safety and wait for it's prey to become incapacitated. Then the rattlesnake can safely eat its meal. In captivity the snake has limited space and the prey can live long enough to jump around and bite, thereby injuring the snake.

The eastern diamondback should be in Georgia so why would a timber rattlesnake be feared more than an eastern diamondback? My sister went to get my nephew in Washington, and they were hiking in an area that had rattlesnake in the name of it. Obviously if a diamondback rattlesnake showed up there, it would be a western diamondback.

To be mildly venomous they can take down mice and rats faster than most highly venomous snakes.

Found one of these guys in my bathtub this morning. Thanks to this video, I know what he needs to thrive. He's now setup in a new enclosure and looking more relaxed and calm. I'm in Texas and didn't realize this species is invasive and has spread to every continent (except Antarctica). It's been triple digit heat(100F+) here for over a week, so I'm surprised he came inside where it's cooler.

As someone with a garter snake this is awesome! My garter snake was wild but snakes around my area get eaten by hawks so I took her in she is amazing I have a lot of reptile experience lol

With the second snake, we did not get to see what happened with his second mouse at all. He didn't even tag it and the mouse wandered off behind scenery. That mouse wasn't dumb, it wanted outta there! 😂

My fave rattlesnake species and I hope to get one when I’m older

This is the first time my phone was wrong in a major way on snake identification. According to my phone, that's a boa constrictor; and their bites are more forgiving than a timber rattlesnake bite.

Hi i really like watching your videos! I have a teen house gecko & it loves fruit flys but it's super easy to get the little white worms I guess they're maggots in the tank & i know to keep the tank clean constantly but what should i do if i found a worm on its head? I can't tell if it's just on his skin or going into or coming out of my lil guy & it's upseting & has me worried. This is my first attempt at keeping one so I'm kinda freaking out lol i would hate for something to happen to it even though i know it's life it happens but maybe u have some pointers for me? Thanks ❤
